She should give them a photo of a game console, with IOU written on it…which they can then hang on the wall of one of their bedrooms as a constant reminder (or, alternatively, hide it somewhere where she can’t find and then “misplace” it – “Funny, I don’t remember promising you that for Christmas!”)
