It was Pearl Harbor Day and that reminded me of what my mother told me… my Dad was building houses in the San Fernando Valley and wanted to check on the foundations. My mother packed a picnic and went with him. I was a month from my 4th birthday. She was sitting in the car listening to the radio and I was napping in the back seat, when they broke into the program and started calling military officers to report immediately. "Major Smith report for duty immediately..General Jones report for duty immediately. Etc.
Thats when my parents knew something bad happened. It wasn’t until the evening Newspaper came out that they learned about the attack.
I rarely listen to the news on TV – I tune in part way into the show to hear the weather report, then switch channels again. But the news that I do see and about 90% of the stuff in the newspaper is COVID related. I’m so fed up with nothing but COVID being in the news! There is still a world out there beyond that stupid virus!
I want to know more about the wildfires out west. That is tragic stuff, but I want to know – have any of them been contained? Are there still evacuations? I have not heard or read ANYTHING about the fires since summer and even then, the only news about them was in the weather report when they told us the haze in the sky was from the fires. People and animals out there have suffered far more than just COVID stuff. How are things out there?
On another note (as tad says) I saw a LOT of geese while driving to work yesterday. One big flock after another, flying in all different directions. I wonder where they were all headed and how they decide which flock to fly with?
Last night the hospital filled up. This hospital has four wings of 9 floors. That’s a lot of rooms to have filled with patients! I expect the results of my biopsy tomorrow.
Very Trumpian. For years he would greet people with a handshake from one hand and Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) in the other. His lawyers finally persuaded him that you cannot demand NDAs from government employees and officials.
There are two types of liver cancer: those that form in the bile ducts and spread aggressively, and what I’ve got: those that form in the center of the liver and are slow to spread. My biopsy results are in with good news. I am at stage one.
Not helping at all, Chesney. In fact, you’re probably making Annie even more suspicious. On another note, heard a squirrel and a wren while out walking today.

Save some time, Annie. Toss the usual suspects out on the dock. Whatever they did, they deserve it.

Today is:
National Brownie Day. I could go for some brownies today!
Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day. I’ll pretend to travel into a time when there was no COVID.

When he says that, Annie, you know something happened. Be careful where you walk.
