Sounds like a worm we once had on the sidewalk in front of our Danvile, IL house. I don’t recall the shape of the head, but it was a super long one. Probably about a foot. My mom didn’t like looking at it, so she went out and picked it up with a stick and moved it into the bushes. I saw the next day that it had made it’s way in to the next door neighbors’ kids’ sand box (or sand tire). Had to be the same worm. Worms that long are rare and it was the only time I’ve ever seen one.
