Toward the end of her life, our dog needed medication. It took a little while to find out what she really liked … and it turned out to be peanut butter sandwiches. This turned out to be a perfect carrier for her pills – at least one of which was a pretty powerful painkiller. So, we developed a schedule – meds before I went to work and meds at dinner. She never barked – but would give me the most mournful looks when I would sleep in on the weekend because I was late with her meds.

Giving them eye medication is loads of fun too.

Fortunately, the only medicine I ever administered to my cat was tasty to her. She licked the goo off my fingers, tickling me.

One glaring mistake here: Scott’s arms should be all gouged up.
Having been owned by a cat, I understand these things…

When the vet gives my cat some medicine, it goes down great. At home, when it’s my turn, YIKES!
