OK, you live on a plateau where the school is up the mountain. For some reason, classes are held on a funicular that runs 20 miles down to the base of the mountain during the day.
Sweet twist on something my parents told us. But WE had to walk 1/4 mile in ANY weather along a busy road to get to our high school. I think that counts!
There was a steep hill between where I lived and where I went to school (or where I would have waited for the bus if I didn’t hate it), so I actually did walk uphill both ways. Granted, it was also downhill both ways, but still . . .
