what! pin a rose on them…unless it means with a tomato…I guess….never even considering the statement “drag’em thru the garden”…oh these comics are precious!

ok, I get it “drag it thru the garden”…means “the works”…thanks for the wake up!

If I ate that, they’d be dragging ME through the garden…

I thought the rose part was the tomato. This lingo can be confusing.

Drag it through the garden: add lettuce and tomato (known as “California” in NYC)

Pin a rose: add raw onion (onions and roses - and garlic - are botanically related to the rose)

Or a tomato slice.

You’d think she’d have been here before. This can’t be her first time in a diner.

I’d really like another visit to the Old Comics Home, that story arc was alot of fun. I’m not sure I’m ready to go see Walt live there full time though.
