Terry strikes fear in the hearts of customers with such an innocent smile.

If you want to learn a lot about food and have the time, go to foodreference.com and check out the daily quiz. Or do a search there for “diner”- there’s lots of info. Part of Terry’s hamburger code is in this list: http://www.foodreference.com/html/flunchcounterlingo.html Not an all-inclusive list, but there are others in the same site. Now I’m hungry….

I thought the rose part was the tomato. This lingo can be confusing.

I shiver to think what ‘extra mayo and cheese’ would mean…

Drag it through the garden: add lettuce and tomato (known as “California” in NYC)

Pin a rose: add raw onion (onions and roses - and garlic - are botanically related to the rose)

You’d think she’d have been here before. This can’t be her first time in a diner.

I’d really like another visit to the Old Comics Home, that story arc was alot of fun. I’m not sure I’m ready to go see Walt live there full time though.

Spoiler alert, fifteen years later and Walt still hasn’t shuffled off to the Old Comics Home. He’s still alive and kicking, Literally! httpS://Www.GoComics.Com/gasolinealley/2024/06/13
