I worked days the first several months and never got sick, switched to nights and I have little contact with anyone now

We’ve had people in our store out, but it sounds like most of them had a personal contact that had it

In my book, retail workers have been true heroes during this pandemic.

Went reluctantly to my local smaller-town store last night for a staples stockup. There were about a half-dozen unmasked customers in the aisles; it was difficult to avoid them (the staff are masked.) Most of them were males in the 35-50 age range… you know, invincibles.

Too many folks around here don’t seem to be taking things seriously at all, many have grown complacent, or they’re feeling “it can’t happen here.” Yesterday about 125 people died from COVID in the state- an all-time high.

It’s not a “second wave.” the first wave isn’t done with us yet.

(Couldn’t find any links about the rate of viruses virusing; perhaps that’s not a technical term used by virologists).
