I agree with Fred. Grass is made to be walked on, particularly with bare feet. That’s why “Keep off the Grass” signs are an invitation, not a restriction.
1 redskins fan, it does make sense that Nancy Reagan would have used “Keep Off Grass”, when her hubby (with her approval) was heavily involved in undermining the very idea of the “War On Drugs” by smuggling heroin (purportedly to aid Afghan resistance against Soviets) grown/processed in Pakistan’s NWFP/FATA from origin-point to US!
