I don’t feel bad trying the chicken knowing that we have brisket backup.
Maybe she will understand that there is a reason you don’t mess with tradition. (I hear a song coming on)

I mean, what Abby made does still sound good too, so no reason you can’t try both.
But, you know…once you got a trend that works, it’s hard to stop.
That is just so mean. I’m all for tradition, but her mother was out of line here. Abby asked her not to do a brisket. It’s not wrong for Abby to want to make her own family traditions!
Her husband should have gone for the chicken.
If I’d been invited, I would have been happy to try both the brisket and the chicken!
