Wallace has an ulterior motive here … he just saw “Ant-Man” but hasn’t yet found any fancy quantum doohickey. So his fallback is magic.

the problem with abracadabra for me is that in ancient Hebrew/Aramaic the phrase corrupts the names of the Trinity [Abba-father, Ruacca- Holy Spirit, Dabba-Son] and by so invoking the Names the magician believes he now has the same powers to create as does God.

But actually, I like better an alternate translation:

When Wallace McClellan woke up one morning from unsettling dreams, he found himself changed in his bed into a monstrous vermin.
