    The extra warranty that people get suckered into is not a warranty it’s an insurance policy and just like any other insurance policy it has deductibles and they can deny your claim.

    Avoid car extended warranties with the word “fizbin” in the fine print.

    I had this same problem with an extended warranty Carmax got me to purchase with my used Nissan Leaf. It was supposed to cover the basic warranty, which covered the yearly battery check, for five full years. Low and behold, the small print is that Carmax doesn’t cover any batteries, even if the battery in question is the fuel system of an all electric car.

    This is why the ACA insurance plans cost more… they ACTUALLY COVER YOU.

    when I got my new Ford truck in 2018 I extended it, the heater controls alone are thousands of dollars but the Hyundai car came with the 5 year 60000 warranty. I will probably trade them both when the warranty runs out.
