I’m not trying to muck up the joke, but I thought you might be interested to know that modern investigators almost never use chalk or tape as outlines at a crime scene to avoid contaminating the evidence. And, in the past, they often were drawn by the police only for press photographers, not for investigative purposes. Had a weird friend during college who was a good artist. He did pen-and-ink drawings that looked nice and normal… until you started looking closer and started noticing unsettling details he included (like a drawing of a house with a shadow figure peering out from an upstairs window, and a small hangman’s noose hanging in a tree off to the side)… if he ever used any color, he’d only use a little red to indicate blood…
