Wow this is sad, Hubbs has most of what he wanted, to marry Ellie, to move out, and I’m certain to have a son, yet now he just wants to escape. Two tragedies in life, not getting what you want and getting it.
I heard round houses are fairly common in Hawaii, he could always strive to move the family there, I’m certain his company has a branch there, Hawaii needs accountants too.
I guess Ellie’s over worried attitude towards the baby is now more justified if the kid caught on fire just like that. Hubbs has a family now and I don’t know if he can really escape the boxes without them.
As much as I love the strip, I DON’T like this thread. It is far too close to hitting home. I felt and still feel that way but it is far too late for me now.
Way too much drama for this comic. I love the fun, the light heartiness, the beauty and most off craziness. This is too much like Mr. H’s horror stories. Not fun at all.
Ellie is calling him “Hubby”. I don’t know if that is a pet name for Hubbs or for husband. Either way, she is at least finally showing some concern to Hubbs. Maybe there is some hope left for her yet.
Here is living proof (in a comic strip kind of way…) that men can suffer from post-partum depression.
Ellie’s desire to prevent their son from having any interest in football is making Hubbs miserable. She needs to open her eyes and pay more attention to her husband and her son.

Yep … kids, forks and electrical outlets just do not mix well.

Al was a little devil today because those are only Faust degree burns.

Something about that burnt baby diaper is pushing Hubby into a fugue state of self hypnosis.

Interesting choice of words Ellie used…..is she calling him by nickname Hubby or a sweet use of the word Husband. This could mean something……maybe

Depends. Does the Hubbs want to be married and a father?

Al ala Flambe seems to have calmed the savage She Beast down some.
Is it because Al’s charcoal look is wholly her fault, so she can’t yell at Hubbs for it? He was at work when Al decided to be well done.

All Ellie’s fault. Show her who’s boss, Hubbs! Leave the seat up!

The more I look at Al, the more I laugh. I guess this Scotch isn’t helping either. Poor little guy.
