So she reads the thesaurus. I suppose I perused ol’ Roget periodically.

It’s difficult not to feel some sympathy for Mildred.

Hobnob with us? Since the word hobnob is an informal verb, would a self-righteous, overbearing vocabulary snob use that word? Wouldn’t she have said, “You may no longer associate with us.”

Mildred is so cold, she is the Ice Miser, sing along now,

    “She is Miss White Christmas,

    She is Miss Snow.

    She is Miss Icicle,

    She is Miss Forty Below.

    Friends call her Ice Miser,

    Whatever she’ll touch,

Turns to ice in her clutch.

    She’s too much!"

Their behaviour is completely and utterly abhorrent, if not execrable itself.

Whoa. Mildred is too harsh for words. I used to have sympathy for her. Now…. I am not so sure.

If the little blonde girl would just be more understanding, this would all go away….
