Seems like someone forgot to lock said door (assuming Cagney is already in the house).

All the small mammals in the house are completely normal? That possum sure isn’t playing his part in the second panel.

Dark and early one morning, my wife and I were awakened by sounds of a huge dog fight. All three of our dogs were in sight, and now very awake, so we knew it wasn’t them. I headed for my hamshack, which is where the doggie door is. As I cracked open the door to peek in, another fight broke out. It was our neighbor’s two miniature Scottish Terriers. They had somehow removed the Gamma Seal lid on the dog food container, and were fighting over the contents. My wife wrote a short story about the encounter called “The Terrierist Across the Road.” I automated the dog door latch with an Arduino and RFID.

on 2 different occasions in my life, i have had a wild skunk walk up and let me pet them, one was a mom with 3 kits, and that was when i visited my grandmother in CA when i was 15…i’ll never forget her face when she came around the corner of her house and saw me with a baby skunk on my lap

I installed magnetically latching cat flaps. They require my cats to wear bulky magnets on their collars. A raccoon figured out how to bypass the lock and got into the house on several occasions. I set up two video cameras to figure out how he was doing it. The tape showed he simply pulled the door open. The latch only resists inward movement. Goes to show that raccoons are smarter than cat flap latch designers.
