    I googled this. Seemed the whole thing was translated in 2008 (I guess when the comic was first published.

    Graft = grind, hard work

    Chocca = short for ‘chockablock’ meaning filled up as far as it will go, packed to the gunwhales, loaded, full up

    firtle = various meanings for this, some of them extremely rude, but used here in the sense of ‘mess about’, as in the Scottish word, ‘futer’

    mithered = nagged at, bothered, whinged at

    mental = mental

    and that = ‘and all that’, etc., English equivalent of ‘n stuff’.

    Monster trucks = large amounts, and slightly bizarre with it.

    MMM is not stupid. He knows when he’s being dumped on. And by whom, Bucky. Plan finished.

    One of my employers was once owned by a British company. Our part of the legacy was two British chemists. We understood them in spite of their accents.

    Use more vague terms like “greatest”, “quality” and “loser”.

    Per the Constitution, the qualifications for president of the United States are: 1) You have to be a natural born citizen, 2) You’ve been a resident within the U.S. for at least 14 years, and 3) You’re at least 35 years old. And that’s all. An emotionally unbalanced egomaniac could qualify.

    My former English neighbors visited the American south. We had a discussion first about accents. They came back laughing and thanked me for the warning. It was bad enough when the high schooler asked out loud during an exam if anyone had a rubber she could borrow (eraser to Americans).
