About 3 days ago In Big Nate First Class, Nate asked someone to a dance. I thought it was in this version so i got very confused for a minute by him asking Deedee to help him out here.

BIG NATE AND THE FIELD TRIP: PART 2

On the day of the field trip to New York, everybody in Nate’s class is excitably waiting for the bus to take them to the airport, all of them with their bags. Marty has signed Nate’s permission slip and gave him enough money in order to go too. As Nate is sitting on the grass, Teddy comes up to him with his bag.

Teddy: Um… where’s Francis?

They hear some groaning noises. They turn around to see Francis carrying a ton of big suitcases. He falls on his back and drops everything. Nate and Teddy rush over to help him, carrying all his suitcases.

Francis: Ugh… thank you…

Nate: Francis! What’s with all this stuff? You don’t need THAT much for New York!

Francis gets back up.

Francis: Or do I? In this suitcase, I have first aid, in this one, it’s full of water bottles in case we get dehydrated, in this one-

Teddy: We get it, Francis! You don’t want a noogie, do you?

Francis: Umm… no.

A few minutes pass. Finally, the bus arrives and all the students and teachers get on the bus. Everyone gets their bags in, even Francis. Later, the bus begins to drive away from the school.

Nate: I can’t wait to go to New York!

Teddy: Me too!

PART 2 CONTINUED IN REPLIES

Part 2 of purge Nate One hour in this hell of a school purge. 11 hours to go. I was starting to get the hang of who’s who. The guys with purge masks are the people who murder on sight. BIG THREAT: shoot on sight. The people with weapons are either people trying to survive or people with a vendetta. If the people are guys trying to survive, then make it VERY clear you’re here in peace. If it’s a vendetta then be careful, because they might wanna kill you. Speaking of vendettas, some of these people kill someone for really dumb ones or really good ones. I saw this kid kill someone else while screaming: “That’s for bullying me!” while another kid this 8th grader for CUTTING HIM IN LINE, 2 MONTHS AGO! HOW DOES HE EVEN REMEMBER THAT? Us sane people were holled up in the cafeteria. It was good, I guess. One guy was killed by a vendetta purger before getting shot, and 5 kids were killed by anarchy purgers. We sent Chad to get medical supplies 20 minutes ago, because we agreed that he probably wouldn’t get shot at because he was nice to like everybody in the school. He’s probably fine, I told myself. But I got worried: The school isn’t that big. “Guys, ya think Chad is ok?” I asked. “Not really, he should be back by now,” Francis said. “We can’t just leave him, let’s go look for him!” said Teddy. We all agreed on that. We each grabbed a gun and stepped into the hallways. We were walking into the jungle. continued in replies

JEFFERSON RAMPAGE PART 5: Teddy, Francis, and me all searched for Artur. When we found him, his was hanging around Gina. “Artur? What are you doing?” I asked. We walked over to her. “C’mon, Jenny,” I said. “There are plenty of boys who would want to date you.” Jenny was still crying. “C’mon, Jenny,” Teddy said. “I’m sure Artur will come back to you.” “After Artur leaves Gina, if he does,” Francis added. I kicked him in the shin and he shut up. “C’mon, Jenny! Brighten up and ask someone to the dance!” I said. She looked up at me, stood up, and walked off. “Nice move, pinhead!” Teddy and I said. “Sorry!” Francis said. Later, at the dance, I looked for Ruby. I finally found her. “How do you cheer up girls who just lost their boyfriends?” I asked. “I don’t know. You’re the only boyfriend I’ve had!” Ruby answered. “I find that hard to believe.” I said. I smiled and told her it was time to dance and we did… until Nolan put in the worst. Song. Ever. “We are the winners, the Cavilers! We can beat the Bobcats any day!” the boombox sang. I found Nolan. “We’ll find out tomorrow, won’t we?” I asked. PART 6 TOMORROW

They separate to search someone to go to the dance with, but Jenny stays with Nate.
