In the days before Disney owned Marvel Comics, there were copyright concerns over Howard the Duck too closely resembling Donald Duck. Then-author Steve Gerber had a story in which Howard visited a haberdasher named Walt Sidney at his shop, Sidneyland. That’s where Howard got pants to wear.
