Woof. The friend zone is a zone an interested party creates for themselves by feeling entitled to the reciprocation of romantic interest and lacking the ability to accept that it is perfectly natural and acceptable for the person they like to not like them back without breaking any unspoken contract or owing them anything, certainly not friendship. Someone who is your friend just because they tried and failed to get into your pants and hold out hope for that happening isn’t a very good friend.
