I wonder where he keeps his car. My HOA sent a list of rules around as a reminder yesterday one of which was ‘no major repairs of cars in sight of neighbors or street and no cars parked on front lawn.’ I live in the South.
H & C need to move on with this car build arc. As a youth I rebuilt an engine and drive train, brakes and interior work in less than 6 months. How long has Baldo been working on this and it is still sitting on cinder blocks? (which is an unsafe way to block a car)
My first car, a 52 Mercury, which I bought in 1961 when I was 11, took me almost 5 years and one hell of a lot of work to turn into a hot rod. Every penny I made since I was 9 and had a morning paper route I spent on parts for that car. My best friends father had a body shop near our house and I started working there when I was 11. He let me use his tools to chop and channel it. Took me 6 months just to paint it using his paint booth.
If you want something badly enough, you can find a way to do it.
I never sold that car, altho I put it in storage in 1998. In 2013 I finally gave it to my oldest grandson, who was 12 at the time. By then it needed another rebuild. It became his daily driver in 2017. So far it remains his only car.

what sort of compromise did you have in mind, Baldo?

From his car parts job pay Sergio $100 a month..the final payment ironically coinciding with the completion date of the rebuild.
