Ah, the old days at City Lights! They were all there, and now it’s all history. Tempus fugit! Finally, it tolled for thee, Lawrence. The rest of us better live in and stay aware in the Now; soon enough it will be the “Then.”
More than once we met Mr F there on a night of readings. This was the place where beatniks, the original hipsters, congregated, drank coffee, read poetry and played jazz. A true San Francisco landmark and a very cool place.

When I lived in San Francisco I was in City Lights at least once a week. Great place.

Took me a second, couldn’t quite make out the name in that type face. I’;ve read some of his works in college, but I was alway more of a Sandburg fan.
