Time is a lot different for kids. When I was in kindergarten and we had the two-week Christmas break, I thought school was over. When I went back, I was convinced it was the next school term and that I had to repeat kindergarten. I thought this until I was an adult. I finally asked my mama and she told me what had happened.
Minutes/days. Time is meaningless when a four-year-old is in the midst of a panic. Madeline is the antidote to Alice, though (thank goodness!). And as for Dill, IMO the youngest four-year-old enrolled in Blisshaven pre-school, by all means feed him, Madeline.
