As a hiring manager, I am impressed when people DO actually generate a sincere thank you note. Not as impressed with ones that only reiterate their resume or something – but those that actually indicate they got something from the interview. Spelling matters – but I am expecting everyone has spell check these days – so the intent matters more.

Hey! “Appreciate” can be a hard word to spell, especially if you are not used to using it, much less writing it!

Spelling is important…but a misspelling doesn’t affect the sincerity of the note.
