I wonder why there aren’t any strips set in prisons? The Wizard of Id is the only one I can think of that regularly goes there, but I think there would be scope for a drama strip if they still existed.

Of COURSE the prisoner would order FRENCH fries! Eleven year olds would not know about croissants and escargot! LOL

Of all the things two eleven year olds could make a comic about and they choose a prison?? Hopefully, they would have no idea about prison life. But, okay, this is funny!

I may be a 68 year old woman, but I have the sense of humor of an 11 year old boy. I laughed out loud.

When I was in 6th grade, a boy classmate and I would draw cartoons, of course at my house. I had forgotten all about that! Wonder whatever happened to Billy W.? Of course I moved to N TX from S NJ and lost contact with most of them.

Aha. The necessary clue (the Eiffel tower in the distance) isn’t easy to make out. And as for the joke, is it a sophisticated reference to the ambivalence that the French have toward French (actually Belgian) Fries? Or the crude slang for execution by electric chair?

Put some of those old comics on here, please. We want to see them.

I got it right away. Hmmmmm. Not sure I should admit that.

The Eiffel Tower was a nice touch. Amazing, but not surprising for 11 year old Lennie.

I’m sure it seemed like a good idea at the time.
