I didn’t have a “smart phone” until last year. The cell phone I had up to then was company provided and I only used it for long distance calls (company approved) and company use. My “smart phone” sees the most activity when I give it to my 6 yo when we are out.
Y’know, I gotta say, when it comes to cell phones the Borg have NOTHING on assimilation. You can almost watch people being sucked head-first into their screens.

My wife has a cell phone and thats enough communication for me
I did buy a tablet last year, I do use it more than I did my old desktop
