That was one heavy leaf.

It appears the tree wanted to keep that leaf. Why else did he get smacked in the face?

It must be an acme tree.

Should have leafed it alone….

It shows how old the walloping willow is as a species……

The moral’s the same as those SF films from the 50’s: There are some thing that man was not meant to tamper with.

Leaf it be.

Spring has sprung!

That was some heavy leaf!

This one is a classic. I like it “KWANG” Simple direct easy to understand, and funny.

“I think that I shall never see…

After that tree has whompeth me…"

That’s what you get for disturbing the delicate balance of nature.

I note in passing that “kwang” is a Chinese word that means, “No, this isn’t a Chinese word, you stupid American! It’s an instance of onomatopoeia. Wise up, already!” This demonstrates how compact a language Chinese can be.

We had this on the wall of our tank maintenance office in Fort Greeley Alaska….back 1973. A warning to the mechanics not to mess with something they know nothing about.

This was a classic theme for a poster, with the caption" “If you don’t know what it does, don’t mess with it.” Sadly, not enough people subscribe to that concept.

If you’re unsure what it does, it’s best not to fool with it.
