The family colored eggs a few years, but only hid them in the house once (most of the hidden eggs had been placed in the oven. We were never told why.)
One Easter my mom made the 4 of us white pleated skirts and flowered jackets. She would make us pajamas and robes at Christmas, but those skirts and jackets really stand out in my memory. :)
Also, we had a lovely older couple who had a HUGE family and they did a massive egg hunt each Easter. After our boys were old enough they were kind enough to include them. WHAT fun that was!!! (We haven’t been able to go there for the past two celebrations due to COVID, but we certainly look forward to returning!). I have to say, I didn’t need to slow down my searching due to my age- Those eggs were HARD to find sometimes!!! (HAHAHAHAHAHA!) SUCH a wonderful strip today, Melissa! Thank you!
I remember one company made 6 packs of cream filled eggs, with one each of butter cream, chocolate butter cream, cherry vanilla, maple, coconut and mixed fruit. I didn’t like the coconut or maple, so my mom would take those. She didn’t like the cherry vanilla or mixed fruit, so I’d take those. We’d split the butter cream and chocolate butter cream.

I totally forgot about panorama eggs! Thank you for that memory. I still need to make my pecan nougat eggs … they don’t have them here in Australia :(

You outdid yourself on this one, Melissa. It’s adorable. I always thought it was just wrong when peeps started coming in colors other than yellow! Lol

And even better is finding those chocolate Easter bunnies that didn’t get found on Easter.
