In Australia, you couldn’t find your sock…..mate.

I have no doubt I’ve met my soul mate, but she decided not to bother.

I wonder if there is such a thing as an antonym of ‘Soul Mate’?

The old “lost sock” joke sure gets a lot of mileage.

“Soul Mate” is a myth invented by writers of romance novels and greeting cards, both in an effort to sell more product.

Nobody can find their sock mates! ;o]

Soul mates are overrated. I’m fine with my Netflix buddy.

In Roz’s case it’s a sole mate.

I own 50 socks. Identical black socks.

This way, I just reach into the drawer, grab 2 socks, and bingo bongo, I have a pair!

As a retired counselor, I can tell you the worst the that can happen is for each couple to regard each other as their soul mates. The level of idealization and expectations leads to disillusionment and disappointment every time. The collapse will be initiated by numerous events, but no relationship can deal with the pressure of “soul mates” labeling.

Just settle for a couple of sole mates…
