Poignant question right there.

sweet of Eddie but…a “touch” sad too

Well, this is a question maybe most won’t have to deal with. I lost my Mother when I was 2 (I’m 61) had others helping. My wife passed 9 weeks ago(she was 53) suddenly and unexpectedly and unfortunately her Mother is alive (with dementia) and it didn’t help her. Some things make no sense and to me this is a big one.

My mom is in her 80s and I’m surprised she doesn’t need my help

Can’t say that I’m a big boy and take care of myself, my wife takes good care of me

Frank has your mom and dad, who’ll look after him. He also has you and Toby, to keep him ‘young’.

She taught him a few things before she left.

That’s sweet.

My grandmother, who lived to be 96, lost her mom when she was eight. I could just imagine her mom exclaiming as she came, My how you’ve grown! Gram at 60 decided she wanted her grandkids to know her should anything happen, so she sat down and wrote her autobiography, and it’s a treasure. Horse and buggies at the start. She debated holding on long enough to be able to say she’d lived in three different centuries, but then went, nahhh. It’s enough.

He needs to explain that when you no longer have your Mommy, having other family members around — like an adorable grandson — is nearly as good.

John9 I am sorry for your loss. It must be very, very painful. I pray that you have peace and some family and/or friends to comfort you.
