To be truly rich is to be happy with what you have.

The goal of amassing wealth is a fool’s errand…..

There never seems to be enough money, even the super rich think they need to have more

I could have been more successful, but I dont think I would have liked the person I would have had to be to get there

We’re happy as we are, and thats what counts

I’m with Agnes. Having money gives you options, and that’s the true value of money.

It’s more important to want the things you have than to have the things you want.

A wise man once said: “It is better to be rich and healthy, than poor and sick.”

I only need more pizza.

Ecclesiastes 5:10 (KJV): He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver, nor he that loveth abundance with increase; that is also vanity. But she that loveth a big sandwich shall at least be satisfied until the morrow.

Remember: Rich or poor, it’s good to have money.

And then there’s this Golden Oldie:

“I wish I had the money to buy an elephant.”

Why would you want an elephant??

“I don’t, I just want the money!”

Trout’s final comment reminds me of a C&H strip. Calvin makes fun of Hobbes for saying, if he could have anything at all, that he’d want a sandwich. Calvin then recites a list of extravagant things he’d choose if he were granted wishes. In the final panel, they’re in the kitchen, and Hobbes says, as he’s eating, “I got my wish.”

Having goals is good, just the higher you look the further you have to go.
