Why not use the oatmeal box to make your birdhouse?

Wonder what other heirlooms Grandma forgot to stuff in Grandpa’s coffin?

I take after my Dad. Neither of us had/have a bit of carpenter ability. Between us, we had trouble putting together 2 × 4s to make a sawhorse. That was even with the braces.

OK….Ewww.

Oatmeal box – I haven’t seen one of those in decades!

I’m going to have to read this strip in mid-afternoon, i.e. after eating.

Maybe we’ll learn some other things about Grandpa. That would be a treat.

Gaaah!!

Back in my childhood, Grandpa always supplied cigar boxes for storing treasures.

That, I want to see…..

Let’s all (foolishly) hope that “old Band-aids” doesn’t mean what we all think it does. Maybe Grandpa liked to buy a large box of Band-aids and then move them to the oatmeal box for safekeeping. Maybe he thought it would fool burglars or that the Band-aids would keep better in the more sturdy oatmeal box. Being Agnes’ grandfather, weird ideas like that would not be out of the realm of possibility.

Of course, being Agnes’ grandfather, weird ideas like saving used Band-aids in an oatmeal box would not be out of the realm of possibility either.
