Masks are a long way from being obsolete. They are still needed, for those not vaccinated and those vaccinated around unvaccinated for the Covid-19 virus. Then there are all the other used for masks. I have found them very useful when mowing where dust, dirt, and other things get stirred up.
a subtle attempt at ‘the mask was manufactured in China,’ but his right wing readers will read as ‘the conspiracy theory that the virus was some kind of chemical weapon.’
hey maybe instead of doing a victory dance on the one yard line, maybe convince your readers to get the damn vaccine.
You and the GOP’s politicization of mask wearing prolonged this pandemic. CDC director Robert Redfield kept reminding us that if we could have gotten Covid under control within 4-8 weeks had we all worn masks. and now the same people who whined about mask wearing infringing on their ‘freedoms’, aren’t getting vaccinated.
It’s going to be a while yet before the masks are obsolete for everyday use. Sure, in much of the US we have an enviable vaccination rate, but much of the rest of the world is not so fortunate. India is on the verge of catastrophe. Some of the most densely populated places on Earth are struggling to vaccinate even a fraction of the population. Therefore, masks remain the only practical option for control in most of the world.
So, masking is phasing out in the US . . . but we should count our blessings and help the rest of the world join us in making this true everywhere. After all, we don’t want any country to become a reservoir for covid-19 or worse, an incubator for worse strains.
Amendments 1507 and 2003 introduced by Sens. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), respectively, stops taxpayers from funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology and gain-of-function experimentation in China.
The hubris regarding covid in the United States right now is so thick you can barely see through it. I just hope people don’t continue to pay the price for hubris with their lives…as they have been doing since the beginning of last year.

Did someone force Gorrell to start drawing again instead of copy/paste?

Nice one Bob. The virus was created in China too.

that last cartoon must have taken a lot out of Gorrell, because he’s back to scribbling over a copy pasted face mask from google images:

Strange that Mr. Gorrell is celebrating President Biden’s outstanding success and victory so openly.
Are we sure it’s the same deplorable or is this from a guest cartoonist?

It won’t obsolete if the red state folks and other anti-vaxers don’t get with the program and get vaxed.

Huh, Biden is succeeding spectacularly and Gorrell has nothing to write about.
