My friend who died in January was one who would have still been doing that, he lost his “filter” a few years ago after his second stroke. He just didn’t fully understand the “rules” anymore, he was still coherent just no filter. Said what he wanted, did what he wanted. Tried to help but couldn’t explain it to him. I always told my recently deceased wife that I hoped never to be that way, she said she wouldn’t allow it but now.:(

I harbour the same sentiment toward my laptop. No one to smack when it tells me I can’t do something yet offers no option menu.

For me.. back in the day it meant going out and moving the antenna with a relay of siblings passing on messages of better, worse, backup or stop.
