This is a reference post for people who want to read about and discuss the history of Gasoline Alley to put their comments in replies. Those who don’t can bypass the discussion by leaving the replies closed. Fair for everyone, I think.
With the Bob and Ray radio comedy team, Bob Elliot played the recurring character of news reporter, Wally Ballou. Ray Goulding played the character of the location engineer. I thought Bob and Ray were funny. Bob was the father of comedian/actor Chris Elliott.
I’m guessing that the crap in the shack is somehow acting as a receiver, despite the odds. It got me thinking, are space transmissions encrypted? Can anyone with the proper equipment listen in? Would they have to be within a certain area to pick up the transmissions? If it were possible to do so, I would assume that there would be some guy (it’s always a guy) doing it. In which case, the Sunday Moring Show should have done a story about it.
