I’m not sure I get the punchline here
she should try the one everything else is attacking.
I think the pandemic is getting to poor Esther.
In the first panel, Esther did say she finished the picture of Nancy, so I’d have to defend Nancy this time.
This could be an attempt by OJ to get the point across that every strip she draws doesn’t necessarily have to have Nancy in it.
Rename it “fireworks.”
This is a lot of theories. Could be that the strip just stinks today.

At a certain level of abstraction, experienced artists know when to nod and say “Yes, that’s you all right. Didn’t I capture your spirit beautifully?”.
