okay, breakfast. every egg left in my frig is getting mixed up with some of the jalapenos, some of the honey maple ham (which i’ve cut into teeny weeny little chunks), some onions, and a few other odds and ends to make a sort of omelette which can be shared an infinite number of ways. i have lots of nuclear coffee and the usual selection of teas.
for those who don’t want that, all there is left is rice krispies and beer (snap, crackle, and burp - the breakfast of champions!)
Well, since I was here and not commenting I will add:
Anarchy pancakes with your choice toppings
Fresh strawberries, bananas, peaches, or cantaloupe
Herbivore, omnivore or carnivore pizza
Mocha milkshakes
Hot Chocolate
s’okay LuvH8 you can feel free to add on, if you’d like.
just a quick note to others, i left a post on yesterday because i didn’t want to get caught by the turnover, and when i got caught up i found i’d made the only post in a half hour. so, i got last post yesterday as well as first one today. (not that it matters much.)
how are you, LuvH8? as you can see, i’m in the pink. (it’s supposed to be a “red me in a tee shirt” for a valentine’s day avatar, but i don’t think it’s what i’d like it to be. maybe i’ll try something else later. i’ll see.)
2:10 in the blessed A.M? and i was going to do a quick check of emails and messages and take maybe a half hour. yeah, right! i should know better. anyhow, that’s enough for me tonight. stay well, stay warm, and stay nice.
Shika move to answer LuvH8
you can shorten it any way you want to. i’ve seen Yguy, and yyy, among other versions (and i was ygor at hallowe’en). whatever you like, (though 6 characters isn’t much worth making any shorter IMHO.)
yyyguy - when you come back
You are correct. I had to look up IMHO. It’s just sometimes my fingers get all tangled up on all those y’s. Maybe I shall confound everyone by lengthening it to:
yguyyguyyguy
the reason i use 3 y’s at the start when 2 would be enough to make it plural (as in wiseguy) is for the 3 stooges. some times the name means wiseguy as in brilliant - sometimes it means wiseguy as in sarcastic - and sometimes i’m just a guy asking, “why? why? why?”
as with much of life, it’s constantly variable.
oh, and Akenta? i’m not still up. i’m going to bed before 4 am, not 7 am like i did yesterday. the grits are in a big pot on the back burner of the stove. i’ve got them on low heat to keep them warm without over cooking them.
Well, if I feel the need to shorten then I will probably call you YYY, but otherwise if it’s different then you will know my fingers just got confused.
Good morning Lonewolf, YYguy, Akenta, Lewreader,[or SIR], Johanan, Marg, JFri, and LuvH8. [pant, pant]Hope I didn’t miss anyone.
LuvH8 your comments are very amusing. That’s one reason I like reading these comics. Quite often the comments are just as funny [if not more] than the strips.
Good morning, Tabby, Terry, Carmy, Serena, Dry, Sir Lew, Akenta, Johanan, LuvH8, yyyguy, Marg & JFri!
I guess I need to get that snowapult ready for Doc. We’ve got snow on the ground, and it is supposed to continue falling for most of the day.
Good morning folks. Is it Friday yet? Is it SuperBowl Sunday yet? Normally I wouldn’t care about the latter except that this year, for the first time ever, my home team is in the big dance. Geaux Saints!!!! I see this as a sign of the end of days, especially since my favorite baseball team (due to my current home being in Philly) the Phillies won the World Series after the 2008 season. I figure if the Saints win the Bowl after the 2009 season, it’s just another portent that the Aztec calendar hoo-hah is real.
DocT sounds like what i saw at Shoe yesterday. (8 different people supporting my comment regarding another poster who took offence at something i typed.) it’s gratifying to have folks jump on your bandwagon, and we do tend to stick together. (if we weren’t all ready a Tribe we would probably be “rice.”)
Doc - I’ve learned to be extremely subtle when referring to the easily offended poster. Not that I’ve been checking back, but I think he doesn’t “get” subtlety.
I try to ignore him for the most part, or not let him get me upset. Life’s too short to let things like that bother me.
I do try to have compassion, realizing that he’s had a brain injury. However, since that wasn’t during his childhood, and we’ve heard plenty of his adult bio, I’m guessing there was a problem prior to the injury as well.
One of my brothers is “several bricks shy of a load”. He had a high fever as a toddler, so it is hard to tell how much that affects him. I try to be kind, but it doesn’t mean I have to condone his poor choices, or enjoy being in his presence. This particular poster is probably about as enjoyable to experience in person as that brother of mine.
I had to get out the coffee pot again this making one cup at a time to cut back just is NOT WORKING. I know I’m not working at full capacity yet, but did you say someone was picking on MARGUERITEM?
When I first started reading the comics, there was margueritem with her beautiful snowflake and cheerful comments. It’s hard to believe anyone would be so horrible as to pick on her.
Doc - Doesn’t look like I’ll have much to put in the snowapult after all. It has quit falling, and what is on the ground is starting to melt away. Sorry! Maybe Dry can supply you.
Yes there are a lot of random attacks, I did get an attack fairly early in my postings. But I explained my comment in a way that was only slightly condescending and it seemed to work. I’m sure I will be attacked again. MAYBE TODAY ;^)
I apologize if my early morning trolling causes any of you to get accused of being trolls. One of the things I noticed right away about the people on this strip is that none of you is really mean (even when dealing with trolls).
I admit I don’t take it too seriously when I am attacked. But when I really like a comic strip and some of the comments, and then someone STOMPS ON THE HAPPY, it’s annoying.
Also, I really don’t like to see people put other people down. I’ve seen/experienced some of what that can do.
As was suggested, Trolls are often so miserable and deprived of social contact, often for rather good reason, that they will do anything for the notice of others, even to stomping on what others enjoy. Poor things–they fail to realize how much better positive attention is, and the way to get that good attention is to build up rather than take the easy way out of spewing venom and destruction.
No johnnydoc5, not for the things I think but don’t say.
bmonk, I am very aware that the venom spewing is often a sign of self hatred. Which is why I usually don’t attack anyone individually. I also try to encourage the comments I like by supplying positive feedback.
Are you really a monk? You seem very wise and at peace with yourself.
It’s just a tree, drawn by M C Esher, that I liked. Nice things about avatars: they don’t have to be particularly symbolic. Sometimes they are just fun pictures.
People in my real life think that I am weird for having virtual friends, but I don’t really care.
LuvH8, I actually hadn’t noticed that you spelled my name wrong, but it isn’t a big deal. I’ll live. :D
Well, I finished catching up with you all. I have enough trouble with one account and couldn’t conceive of trying to post with another.
I had a beautiful bike ride, the sun was so blinding I had a hard time keeping my eyes open. My wife was talking about cleaning our deck to get it ready to sit in the sun and read, then it dawned on her it is only Feb.4th. Even the birds are singing spring songs.
I have been checking out the new fan we will be hanging when the living room painting job is finished. Our new couch and love seat have arrived and are waiting at the furniture store for delivery. I am looking forward to it. The room is going to look totally different.
Well it’s a comin”! You know it’s coming when they begin to advertise the Storm Center on the radio! The Snowapult’s are cranked up and ready to aim towards Doc!
Question for Rmom (or anyone else, actually) - Is it really true that there is a poster who has brain damage? Was that in one of his posts or is that deductive reasoning?
AddA, JAD has said in a post that his brother in law hit him over the head. He stated this when another poster was giving him a bad time about his long obvious comments.
Well my hike was fabulous and I actually got to warm. I was trying to find a trail that would take me up to a logging road that gives a fabulous view of our house and the lake. The trail I took was the trail to nowhere, it ended at a spot where there was no reason to go to. Great to be out though.
Dry thanks so much for volunteering to take the snow this winter. I can’t tell you enough how much it means to be able to remove clothes rather than put them on. Again, thank you. snerk.
Thank you cleo, I wasn’t aware of that. No wonder he didn’t want to debate me 8 days ago. I have a nephew whose cord wrapped around his neck while in the womb, suffering brain damage from day 1. Basically a good kid but you have to watch out what you say to him or he goes catatonic. Compassion & patience works there & shall be my words here.
I didn’t remember exactly about JAD–I must have missed the original post, which isn’t too surprising–but I did gather from some other posts that he had a reason for the tone of his typical posts.
AddA a friend of mine here at Big Top first told me about JAD having issues. Before I found that out I found him most irritating. From that point on I have learned that we do not know much about one another here. When I saw his post about his brother in law, it just bolstered the notion that I will not say anything negative to him or about him. It is odd that it takes a statement of a problem to show someone some compassion. I learned a lesson there. Good words AddA.
Tabby even though I do not have a TV, The Simpsons have been a show I really have liked. I used to watch their brief one minute spot on the Tracy Ullman Show before they were given a show of their own. I have been hooked since the beginning. I also liked Matt Groening when he was doing his pre-Simpson strip in underground newspapers called Life In Hell.
Oh my Cleo! I had forgotten all about Tracy Ullman’s show! That was a riot! And now that you mention it, yes, I remember that’s how the Simpsons got their start.. I’m not a fan of theirs anymore, though I do laugh at them on occasion. The one I REALLY find offensive is “Family Guy”. That show is DISGUSTING!
Dry i dont know what to do with myself right now. LOL its that crazy. i want to read but then i fall asleep so i cant do that. have nothing to do its amazing yet odd all at once
At first it thought it was a joke of bluster. More I read, more it was apparent he was for real. My responses were never nasty, more of the “but you gave me a straight line” type. But as hard as I tried to get him in an open discussion all I got for my effort was to be called various names.
AddA the only time I acknowledge him is when I do appreciate one of his comments. And lately, he seems to be trying to make more on point or punlike comments, interlaced with his other long winded posts. But, unlike so many other people who post, he is never mean or so out there that they are scary. He becomes defensive and I understand that because he deals with negative comments everyday.
Adda there are some posters around gocomics who give us their “fonts of wisdom” about nothing and don’t realize how truly boring their posts are. He does present interesting stories and tales that most of the time, I find interesting. And he is usually correct in his facts on history for example.
Hi Tabby, I’m here, I just got caught up on the comments. I can’t stay though. I took a nap and woke up to find that it’s my turn to make dinner. I’m cooking and posting now.
Anyway, I’m sorry I don’t know which Christian singer you are talking about. I’m not too familiar with their faces. I’m better with voices and songs.
Hi Dry, Cleo and Johnny! Nice photo, Johnny!
bmonk it is time to haul out your snow blower and direct the spray west and slightly south towards Doc, but not directly west. I don’t want that creepy white stuff.
Hi and Bye, Bmonk!Tabby, you can try to google some of the lyrics, it might be able to find the song. It’s worked for me.
I’m waiting for the table setter to finish setting the table so we can eat.
Eeyore sure do count. I have everything ready to go for dinner. I have the salmon marinating and I have the lemon dressing for it made. I have brown rice ready to add water to. In a little over an hour we eat.
Dry - Please make sure your snow gets to Doc or JFri! I would be perfectly happy to not have any more snow until next winter. Unfortunately, it is supposed to snow overnight here. Thankfully, only 1-3 inches, hope they’re right, or guessed too much.
Dry, it will only melt en route because it is RAINING!!
:-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

wildcheetah didn’t know what to think of my comics obsession at first.
She’s decided that she likes that I spend so much time yapping on GoComics.
Apparently it’s the best way to keep me quiet in RL.
SNERK
I think she’s glad it keeps your HANDS busy!! SNERK
Hey JFri, once it leaves here, who cares? It will be kind of neat though! I hate winter, but I do love the big ones, as long as no one is on the highways!
I’ll answer it anyways Shika. I love it when I blow their minds and am perfectly satisfied if by reducing the amount of brain cells in a female’s head, it makes her more attracted to me.
Hi, JFri, Dry, cleo, Terry, Carmy, Shika, bmonk, DocT and Pirate!
Just waiting for dinner to finish in the oven and I finally caught up on all the postings from the
Dry - The snow in PA is one of the main reasons my hubby prefers KS weather to PA’s. He had enough shoveling experience growing up, that it is quite rare for him to shovel any here. When the kids were too young for me to go outside without them, he’d keep an eye on them, so I could go out and shovel. I’m trying to remember if he has ever shoveled snow in the 25 years we’ve been married.
Hi Rmom, And yes, Cleo, it was a fabulous day! We went for a good walk then came back and pulled broom! That’s a plant worse than blackberries. At least with blackberries, you can pick the fruit!
No, Shika you are never yappy - oops, my fingers just cramped when I crossed them behind my back.
Rmom–It was an good day today. I felt a slight relapse on the cold front, but it seemed to get better as the day went on. I think working outside yesterday did not help! But owning and paying for a home requires making money! :^)
Dawn - Glad you had nice enough weather to enjoy a walk! It was gray & drizzling or snowing here most of the day. It could have been worse - at least it was fairly calm.
RMom, We have retired here from Calgary. I spent many, many years putting up with cold and snow. Please forgive me for bragging - I do know what you put up with. But I just can’t help smiling when I hear cold stories. ;>)
Terry - I’m glad you are getting better, even if it is only a little. Working outside doesn’t help colds, but I understand the need for making money to pay bills. I did accounting for a living, until motherhood became my occupation. In other words, I’m one of those people who balance their checkbook each month.
Bye, DocT.
Sorry about the original health problem, Terry. I understand better than you may realize since I have had a major problem off and on for twenty years - but it’s always best to stay positive. Medicine has made major advancements in such a short time. Your cure will come! (especially if they decide on the diagnosis.)
Dawn - No apology is needed by me. Now, I can’t speak for other tribe members who may feel more jealous.
I know we’re supposed to have 6 more weeks of winter, but I’ve noticed here, it isn’t continuous. We can easily get more winter weather until about mid-April, but there are usually spells of spring-like weather between now & then, so it keeps us from getting cabin fever too bad.
The couch and love seat just went down the driveway. Woo Hoo. And it is a friend of LilG’s daughter who took it and she was so excited, especially when she found out one was a hide a bed.
Cleo - That’s one of the things I miss about my hubby not being here during the week on a regular basis. He used to cook supper every night! Of course, lately he’s been working 12+ hours per day frequently, so even if we lived near his work, he’d probably be so tired I’d end up cooking. His mother was shocked at how good of a cook her son became after he married me. He didn’t cook much at all growing up, because she insisted he had to clean up his mess. Not that I enjoy cleaning, but figured I’d take whatever help I could get from him, so he’s done quite a bit of cooking since we got married.
I love cooking and always have. I remember when I was 19, I taught my roommates girl friend how to fry chicken. And now being with LilG it is great because we both enjoy the same foods, which is basically almost everything.
SNOW PARTY, MY PLACE! EVERYONE BRING A COVERED DISH TO SHARE! I’LL SUPPLY KING CRAB LEGS, MUSSELS IN GARLIC BUTTER, SMOKED SALMON, SCALLOPS, CORN ON THE COB (FROZEN FROM SUMMER), AND A NICE PORK ROAST FOR THOSE WHO DON’T LIKE SEAFOOD!BYOB BUT SHARE WITH YOUR HOSTESS!
Well join the Snowman Building Party girl! We’re building a big snowman, having some good food, and pssst (I’m going to nail JFri with a big snowball after the snowman’s built!)
Dry it is a shame when you have to heat the sunroom. It will be fun sitting there watching the snow fall and I have finished building my overly endowed snow woman.
Yes CLEO We noticed her! She’s lovely! Quite a heavily endowed snow woman, but then, we have enough snow! ! But how did you get those, you know, to stay there like that?

Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
hi bmonk
bmonk about 15 years ago
That’s nice, but we hoped to make your night a bit more surreal…
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Well, it is another beautiful sunny day today. So at some point I think that I will go on another hike.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
It’s hard to believe anyone would be so horrible as to pick on her.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
I just noticed that it looks like Dusty was trying to win with a pair of deuces or threes, not to bright a poodle.

Good Morning Everyone!
serenasakitty - thank you
Smiley Rmom about 15 years ago
Doc - Doesn’t look like I’ll have much to put in the snowapult after all. It has quit falling, and what is on the ground is starting to melt away. Sorry! Maybe Dry can supply you.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Good Morning Doctor Toon,
Yes there are a lot of random attacks, I did get an attack fairly early in my postings. But I explained my comment in a way that was only slightly condescending and it seemed to work. I’m sure I will be attacked again. MAYBE TODAY ;^)
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
I apologize if my early morning trolling causes any of you to get accused of being trolls. One of the things I noticed right away about the people on this strip is that none of you is really mean (even when dealing with trolls).
:-)
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Yes, I doubt my trolling will do much good, I didn’t think it would. But I just felt like venting in a (hopefully) semi-humourous way.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
LuvH8 you seem to get a kick out of being attacked! Having seen some of your posts, you probably will be.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
I admit I don’t take it too seriously when I am attacked. But when I really like a comic strip and some of the comments, and then someone STOMPS ON THE HAPPY, it’s annoying.
Also, I really don’t like to see people put other people down. I’ve seen/experienced some of what that can do.
johnnydoc5 about 15 years ago
Troll hunting: yech! Try to avoid it, but I even got attacked by one. Caught me off guard, but I survived.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Yes, it is fun to leave something that can be interpretated in multiple ways or that leads people to believe the strip went right over your head.
bmonk about 15 years ago
As was suggested, Trolls are often so miserable and deprived of social contact, often for rather good reason, that they will do anything for the notice of others, even to stomping on what others enjoy. Poor things–they fail to realize how much better positive attention is, and the way to get that good attention is to build up rather than take the easy way out of spewing venom and destruction.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
I often think about taking on a secret identity to cause havoc with. I wonder if anyone has? I be good, no secret identity for me.
johnnydoc5 about 15 years ago
Is LuvH8 not secret enough?
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Oh I’m SURE there are those with multiple identities around this site
bmonk about 15 years ago
@jdoc, not if that’s his real name!
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
You seem very wise and at peace with yourself.
bmonk about 15 years ago
I am–and my forte is observing the world and making sense of it. Which does help promote peace.
johnnydoc5 about 15 years ago
I like having just the one moniker, keeps me from making comments that I can or have to hide from.
bmonk about 15 years ago
@jdoc, that’s the advantage of honesty too–you only have to remember one story…
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
I am so sorry johnnydoc5 I didn’t mean to spell your name incorrectly! I fixed it.
bmonk could you explain the significance of your tree? When you first changed your avatar I looked up the name but it made no sense to me.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Yes Doc I see where you are going I believe! Let the games begin! SNERK!!
bmonk about 15 years ago
It’s just a tree, drawn by M C Esher, that I liked. Nice things about avatars: they don’t have to be particularly symbolic. Sometimes they are just fun pictures.
johnnydoc5 about 15 years ago
People in my real life think that I am weird for having virtual friends, but I don’t really care. LuvH8, I actually hadn’t noticed that you spelled my name wrong, but it isn’t a big deal. I’ll live. :D
bmonk about 15 years ago
As long as the people in my virtual–or imaginary–lives don’t think I’m weird for having real friends, I’m good.
I don’t have multiple personalities–and neither do I.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
bmonk - Ah, when it first arrived it was given a name (forgot what) and I was curious.
johnnydoc5, It is very nice to know that most of the people on this strip won’t actually become upset if I mess up their names on accident.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Doctor Toon, why would anyone want to keep you quiet?
johnnydoc5 about 15 years ago
Who could get angry at a typo? Oh wait, that’s how I got attacked the first time… Fortunately I am not one of those.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Well, I finished catching up with you all. I have enough trouble with one account and couldn’t conceive of trying to post with another.
I had a beautiful bike ride, the sun was so blinding I had a hard time keeping my eyes open. My wife was talking about cleaning our deck to get it ready to sit in the sun and read, then it dawned on her it is only Feb.4th. Even the birds are singing spring songs.
Ooops! Premium Member about 15 years ago
Okay Cleo, you are just being cruel now! Braggin’ on the weather, tut-tut.
BTW We’ve only had 3 days of snow here this winter.

Afternoon All
Question for Rmom (or anyone else, actually) - Is it really true that there is a poster who has brain damage? Was that in one of his posts or is that deductive reasoning?
cleokaya about 15 years ago
AddA, JAD has said in a post that his brother in law hit him over the head. He stated this when another poster was giving him a bad time about his long obvious comments.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Well my hike was fabulous and I actually got to warm. I was trying to find a trail that would take me up to a logging road that gives a fabulous view of our house and the lake. The trail I took was the trail to nowhere, it ended at a spot where there was no reason to go to. Great to be out though.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Great to be out? I guess I better enjoy it now, because come this time tmr. I’ll be on the verge of being snowed in!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Dry thanks so much for volunteering to take the snow this winter. I can’t tell you enough how much it means to be able to remove clothes rather than put them on. Again, thank you. snerk.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
okay im here for a few mins again
Dryif you want you can come here and take the rain and push all the snow on Doc
Cleo i think your pic is funny seeing as i used to watch that show
AddADadaAdDad about 15 years ago
Thank you cleo, I wasn’t aware of that. No wonder he didn’t want to debate me 8 days ago. I have a nephew whose cord wrapped around his neck while in the womb, suffering brain damage from day 1. Basically a good kid but you have to watch out what you say to him or he goes catatonic. Compassion & patience works there & shall be my words here.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Good for you AddADadaAdDad! :-)
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
*I hope I didn’t miss
Tabby!bmonk about 15 years ago
I didn’t remember exactly about JAD–I must have missed the original post, which isn’t too surprising–but I did gather from some other posts that he had a reason for the tone of his typical posts.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
dry im still here for a few. freezing still
cleokaya about 15 years ago
AddA a friend of mine here at Big Top first told me about JAD having issues. Before I found that out I found him most irritating. From that point on I have learned that we do not know much about one another here. When I saw his post about his brother in law, it just bolstered the notion that I will not say anything negative to him or about him. It is odd that it takes a statement of a problem to show someone some compassion. I learned a lesson there. Good words AddA.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Tabby even though I do not have a TV, The Simpsons have been a show I really have liked. I used to watch their brief one minute spot on the Tracy Ullman Show before they were given a show of their own. I have been hooked since the beginning. I also liked Matt Groening when he was doing his pre-Simpson strip in underground newspapers called Life In Hell.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
That show is DISGUSTING!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
cleo i used to like them. now i dont care for it much.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
okay i can not believe i am about to say these words but here it goes….
I am bored!
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
What you’re always so busy, when ther’s nothing to do, you get bored? LOL!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Dry i dont know what to do with myself right now. LOL its that crazy. i want to read but then i fall asleep so i cant do that. have nothing to do its amazing yet odd all at once
AddADadaAdDad about 15 years ago
At first it thought it was a joke of bluster. More I read, more it was apparent he was for real. My responses were never nasty, more of the “but you gave me a straight line” type. But as hard as I tried to get him in an open discussion all I got for my effort was to be called various names.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Got my recycling done and the garbage put out. I have gotten all chores out of the way… What A Man.
bmonk about 15 years ago
Yes, he has his views, and nothing anybody says will change them. Or how he argues about them.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
AddA the only time I acknowledge him is when I do appreciate one of his comments. And lately, he seems to be trying to make more on point or punlike comments, interlaced with his other long winded posts. But, unlike so many other people who post, he is never mean or so out there that they are scary. He becomes defensive and I understand that because he deals with negative comments everyday.

johnnydoc5 about 15 years ago

tabbylynn about 15 years ago
jdoc idk but it cute.
can you see the little smiling person?
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Adda there are some posters around gocomics who give us their “fonts of wisdom” about nothing and don’t realize how truly boring their posts are. He does present interesting stories and tales that most of the time, I find interesting. And he is usually correct in his facts on history for example.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
OH MY GOSH! Now I know it is spring. There is a guy wakeboarding on our lake right now.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago

Hi Tabby, I’m here, I just got caught up on the comments. I can’t stay though. I took a nap and woke up to find that it’s my turn to make dinner. I’m cooking and posting now. Anyway, I’m sorry I don’t know which Christian singer you are talking about. I’m not too familiar with their faces. I’m better with voices and songs. Hi Dry, Cleo and Johnny! Nice photo, Johnny!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
bmonk it is time to haul out your snow blower and direct the spray west and slightly south towards Doc, but not directly west. I don’t want that creepy white stuff.

Hi and Bye, Bmonk! Tabby, you can try to google some of the lyrics, it might be able to find the song. It’s worked for me. I’m waiting for the table setter to finish setting the table so we can eat.

Smiley Rmom about 15 years ago
Dry - Please make sure your snow gets to Doc or JFri! I would be perfectly happy to not have any more snow until next winter. Unfortunately, it is supposed to snow overnight here. Thankfully, only 1-3 inches, hope they’re right, or guessed too much.

Hello Dawn, beautiful day wasn’t it?
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Hello Dawn & Rmom!
Smiley Rmom about 15 years ago
Dry - The snow in PA is one of the main reasons my hubby prefers KS weather to PA’s. He had enough shoveling experience growing up, that it is quite rare for him to shovel any here. When the kids were too young for me to go outside without them, he’d keep an eye on them, so I could go out and shovel. I’m trying to remember if he has ever shoveled snow in the 25 years we’ve been married.

Rmom–It was an good day today. I felt a slight relapse on the cold front, but it seemed to get better as the day went on. I think working outside yesterday did not help! But owning and paying for a home requires making money! :^)
DawnAvril about 15 years ago
BTW, Terry, glad to hear you are feeling better. It sure has taken a long time!
Smiley Rmom about 15 years ago
Dawn - Glad you had nice enough weather to enjoy a walk! It was gray & drizzling or snowing here most of the day. It could have been worse - at least it was fairly calm.
DawnAvril about 15 years ago
Dry, I finally watched a CSI episode and now understand why you enjoy it.
DawnAvril about 15 years ago
RMom, We have retired here from Calgary. I spent many, many years putting up with cold and snow. Please forgive me for bragging - I do know what you put up with. But I just can’t help smiling when I hear cold stories. ;>)
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Dawn, this was just a cold. The original health issue, which is still present, is an ongoing process right now.
Smiley Rmom about 15 years ago
Terry - I’m glad you are getting better, even if it is only a little. Working outside doesn’t help colds, but I understand the need for making money to pay bills. I did accounting for a living, until motherhood became my occupation. In other words, I’m one of those people who balance their checkbook each month.
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Good Night Doc!
Rmom–:^)
DawnAvril about 15 years ago
Bye, DocT. Sorry about the original health problem, Terry. I understand better than you may realize since I have had a major problem off and on for twenty years - but it’s always best to stay positive. Medicine has made major advancements in such a short time. Your cure will come! (especially if they decide on the diagnosis.)
Smiley Rmom about 15 years ago
Dawn - No apology is needed by me. Now, I can’t speak for other tribe members who may feel more jealous. I know we’re supposed to have 6 more weeks of winter, but I’ve noticed here, it isn’t continuous. We can easily get more winter weather until about mid-April, but there are usually spells of spring-like weather between now & then, so it keeps us from getting cabin fever too bad.

The couch and love seat just went down the driveway. Woo Hoo. And it is a friend of LilG’s daughter who took it and she was so excited, especially when she found out one was a hide a bed.
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Thank you Dawn. I am a positive thinking person. And I have Him on my side.
DawnAvril about 15 years ago
Cleo, sounds like you are well on your way to a new room. And isn’t it a great feeling when someone actually appreciates what you’re giving them?
DawnAvril about 15 years ago
Yes, Terry, I can tell. Well, dinner’s ready. BBL,

cleokaya about 15 years ago
Pirate if I can get rid of a couch and love seat before painting begins, I can spare them the plank until there next visit.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Yes, I know that I used the wrong spelling of their.
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
No biggie, Cleo!
The Duke 1 about 15 years ago
Carmy, how wa that brisket? I sent it by special messenger!
Shika, that pork roast was great! I have leftovers!!
Smiley Rmom about 15 years ago
Cleo - That’s one of the things I miss about my hubby not being here during the week on a regular basis. He used to cook supper every night! Of course, lately he’s been working 12+ hours per day frequently, so even if we lived near his work, he’d probably be so tired I’d end up cooking. His mother was shocked at how good of a cook her son became after he married me. He didn’t cook much at all growing up, because she insisted he had to clean up his mess. Not that I enjoy cleaning, but figured I’d take whatever help I could get from him, so he’s done quite a bit of cooking since we got married.
carmy about 15 years ago
JFri, muy delicioso! Gracias!!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
I love cooking and always have. I remember when I was 19, I taught my roommates girl friend how to fry chicken. And now being with LilG it is great because we both enjoy the same foods, which is basically almost everything.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
JFri leftovers of a great dinner are perfect, because they generally improve with a day or two of sitting around.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Off to cook dinner. Carry on or carrion which ever fits.
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Cleo, I can cook fried chicken, but I wish I was better at doing it. I don’t like breaded chicken. I just like it fried with out breading on it.
carmy about 15 years ago
Cleo, I agree with you there.
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Have fun Cleo.
The Duke 1 about 15 years ago
cleo, ain’t it the truth!! Had hash made of leftover pot roast earlier this week!!
The Duke 1 about 15 years ago
Carmy, glad you enjoyed it!!
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Going to make a cup of coffee. Love this new Keurig coffee pot.
carmy about 15 years ago
I like leftover meatloaf and chicken fried steaks, they make great next day sandwiches.

carmy about 15 years ago

Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago

carmy about 15 years ago
Oh my, how utterly shocking!
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Carmy Never send a man to do a job a woman can do twice as well! He was standing in the wet snow when he tried to hook up the speakers, DUH? LOL!
carmy about 15 years ago
I brought some ice cream too. I’ll just stick in this snowdrift, that should keep it cold.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
That should work, that snow drift is pretty deep, I hope we can find it again!
carmy about 15 years ago
Well Dry, don’t tell him I said so, but…he’s not too bright. Oh, except when he was getting electrocuted, he was very bright then!
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Carmy how did you know i wanted ice cream???
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Dry, what job can a man do better then a woman? …. never mind dont answere that
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Carmy LOL! See that spot over there, where there’s no snow? Wonder what happened over there? :-D
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
And he still doesn’t have those freakin’ speakers hooked up!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
I will bring fresh halibut and black cod and of course… a case of Booker’s plus some great WA wines and micro brews.
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
Carmy roflmbo he was very bright then..

Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Send a woman to do a man’s job!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUrqbh24RaU
carmy about 15 years ago
Tabby, I think I had good guess about the ice cream. Dry, I do see the spot and I got a pretty good idea what happened. JFri got fried!
carmy about 15 years ago
Cleo, I love halibut, that what I miss most from WA.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Howdy Cleo! Wonderful! I’ll set the table! We can eat in the sunroom which is heated and watch the snow fall when we’re done building our Snowman!
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Remember our Original Tribe theme from WAY back when?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMc8naeeSS8
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Dry it is a shame when you have to heat the sunroom. It will be fun sitting there watching the snow fall and I have finished building my overly endowed snow woman.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Carmy I will save a nice thick Halibut steak for you my dear.
I am off to watch a movie.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Yes CLEO We noticed her! She’s lovely! Quite a heavily endowed snow woman, but then, we have enough snow! ! But how did you get those, you know, to stay there like that?
tabbylynn about 15 years ago
okay i have to go take a shower bbs maybe… you never know right now
carmy about 15 years ago
Thanks for the halibut, Cleo!
carmy about 15 years ago
Dry, that’s what I was thinking. Maybe he used a snow-bra.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
the bad thing about a heavily endowed snow woman is the melt. Things plop unceremoniously.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
i am in a break period where my wife is doing her bedtime routine. My bedtime routine is take off clothes and flop into bed.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
Cleo ROFLMAO! But I don’t think you need to worry about that for at least a week!
cleokaya about 15 years ago
Dry my lot in life is to worry.
carmy about 15 years ago
Cleo, you mean you’re wearing clothes now? Poor snow woman.
cleokaya about 15 years ago
They call people worry warts. I look at the situation and worry that I am the wart.
carmy about 15 years ago
You’re not the wart, Cleo.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 15 years ago
No indeed, Sir! I agree with Carmy!
