You can’t wear a tacky sweater on Christmas Eve!!! Monkey 2 also vetoed Christmas presents in June. I thought it was a good idea, the unique aunt should be able to pick get own time for gifts. Besides, that would be the beginning of summer, they want new things then. Halfway done with their shopping, but I am seriously considering giving them Christmas presents in June next year and skipping the whole December thing.

Hey, Good Morning, Everyone,.I’ll have a simple breakfast this a.m., because of the non-stop eating later tonight and all day tomorrow!.We always seem to have ham on Christmas, with of course, roasted Kielbasa, scalloped potatoes and Hunters Stew. Hunters stew is a traditional Polish dish made up of sauerkraut simmered (low and slow) with a mixture of grated potatoes, cooked crumpled bacon, cut up pork, mushrooms kielbasa and wine. The meats give this a nice gravy and cuts the sourness of the sauerkraut. .Merry Christmas to Everyone. We’ll be watching White Christmas tonight, which is our Christmas Eve tradition.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone here. Be going to my mom’s help get her house ready for family(not many) and few friends. Be taking chocolate clusters to. Yes I’m gonna be bad on Christmas Day and may not sleep Christmas night.

Guy Day at the mall! Is that possible?

That wouldn’t be me. My shopping is ALWAYS done by Thanksgiving.

Well, my husband likes to wait until the last minute. We opened our gifts this afternoon, except for something he ordered for me that is supposed to come via snail mail. It didn’t come today, so I guess Tuesday is the next delivery?

Probably. I don’t think there was delivery today either, but I didn’t bother to check. It hasn’t really stopped raining since this morning and I ain’t going out until it stops. Outdoor Christmas lights aren’t working either – no thanks to the rain.

You’d think with all the rain we’ve been getting of late, the city would lift the water restrictions.

Well I doubt I’ll hear anything now until after the holidays. I just know my grass was pretty much saturated yesterday. And tis supposed to rain well into tomorrow. I haven’t seen anything on radar indicating it’s going to stop any time soon.

It was amazing as hot & dry as this summer was, that I don’t think we ever got a burn ban in our county. The weather service occasionally would issue a “high fire danger” watch or warning, but nothing legally binding. We’ve got a well, so no water restrictions for us. Several of the small towns in our area did restrict water, but I don’t keep up on their news.

Well time to scrounge up some supper, and relax with a book. Have a Merry Christmas!
