I like how Char identifies with young Alyssa, reminds me of a Brady Bunch I saw on MeTV recently where a depressed Jan received a locket from a secret admirer who she found at the episode to be the maid Alice who sent her it to let her know she was also a middle child who often felt overlooked; “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!”.

OK, so have Alyssa confess, then plead ignorance and let Mom handle the rest of it. And don’t forget that she bald-faced lied to you about not eating the brownie once you guys confronted her and said “You can’t prove it”, so it’s not like she’s an innocent.

I had a little sister growing up. She was a true tormentor. Pure evil. Sixty years later, we get along fine, but those early years? Nightmare!

“Alyssa didn’t know” is a reason for her to avoid punishment from Mom, not a reason to avoid fessing up.

She is old enough to know that she was not supposed to eat the brownie. Just tell the truth and let it go from there.

How long will this stupid thread go on? It was a stupid brownie, you can always make more.

Uh… I don’t see why this is so dramatic. Alyssa had a brownie, so she wouldn’t really be deprived of one, just not allowed to enjoy more with the others. Then again, almost everything can seem extra dramatic at that age.
