I would take my little twin sisters out around town when they were learning to walk, one on each hand. One day they found acorns and came home excitedly waving their hands full of their new discovery. We had no trees on the east side of the house, so I planted one. The acorn has had nothing else to do for the last 55 years, so it has grown to be bigger than my childhood home, according to Google Earth.

I’ve done that. Just not the place I grew up in but the last house I lived in.

Me too.
They cut down the maple trees that were on the tree lawn. (Between the sidewalk and the street curb.)

I’ve done this. I’ve moved so many times in my life I’m thrilled I could remember the address

One place I lived in is now part of the Interstate system. Another is just a big vacant lot, but the fire station I knew is still there.

Did this for both houses.

I’ve done this many times over the last 70 years. Strangely enough, I never seem to be home. I must be avoiding myself.
