The knowledge of the right thing to do, and actually doing it, are distinctly different.

Just because I know how to do something it doesn’t mean I have to go around doing it all the time.

If people start to think he actually has the knowledge and/or ability to do good parenting, they might actually expect it of him.

Just because one knows what to do doesn’t mean they do it … unfortunately

You know, Adam is immature but he is a good dad. He spends time with his kids, he’s willing to do anything with them and he never puts anyone down.

He’s the man you always thought he was……

Kids usually know what is good parenting is, because they know what not to do.

Now Laura, just because Adam can be completely incompetent, doesn’t mean he has no idea how things are supposed to be done
