The weekends should be…..most happy.

That smile will disappear as soon as mother Gargle arrives, and suddenly work will feel like Heaven.

His boss is happy.

Is Brutus starting to grow a beard? – - – Looks like he could possibly use a shave.

When Thornapple’s sick, his blood pressure plummets because he doesn’t have to deal with Chiefey’s daily tirades.;-D

If you can smile, you can’t be that sick.

So Brutus will die with a smile on his face?

Because he gets to spend the day with his lovely family, of course.

makes me wonder how often that is. Must not be much if he’s smiling when he’s sick, unless his sickness must not be too unbearable.

Relief for everyone!

My retirement started 5 weeks ago. My cheeks are starting to get sore.

We all smile on SOME of our sick days from work but we usually also pay a price when we get back to work sadly…..

I had sick days like that. I once called in from a hotel in Galveston. Late wife and I sneaked off for a long weekend celebrating the end of her chemo.

That is someone who really hates his job. I OTOH, loved my job, always something new. And because I really liked my job, my days passed quickly. I was retired at age 48 due to on the job injury. I had planned to stick around until I was 55 Then retire. Oh well. As the old saying goes, Man plans, the gods laugh

Sick days are a “free” vacation day.

you don’t get that luxury when you’re self-employed…

Just don’t answer the phone or the door and the day should go smoothly.
