Most people don’t admit it. I used to claim my height was an inch shorter than I was once I was an adult, and figured that would hold me for a long time, and it has.
I’m not shrinking at all, thanks to my brilliant strategy of sleeping bat-style in my closet. I got rid of my bed, too, giving me more bookshelf space, and the only downside is that I had to structurally reinforce the closet and I must periodically replace the the junk mail I use to line the closet floor.
I’m 68 years old, and I’ve been 4’ 10 3/4" (I usually claim 4’ 11". ;-) )since I was 19. Whenever I see a doctor I haven’t seen before, the nurse who measures and weighs me always assumes I’ve started shrinking. :-)
