One friend had a Chihuahua [who had their typical gigantic attitude]. His nephew relieved himself in the yard. Every time after that, if the nephew took the dog for a walk, the dog would “mark” the same spot in a battle for urine dominance.
Fun fact: Male dogs start to lift their legs at about 6-12 months of age. If a male dog is neutered early in life, he probably won’t lift his leg but will continue to “squat.”
