why would he not wear shoes, on a day like this?

That’s why I own sandals!

Why are you barefoot?

The dog goes out on my fake lawn, looks at me with confusion and runs for the house.

Why the heck are you taking a walk in the middle of summer barefoot????

One year at Veteran’s Stadium, the Phillies had a “Meet the Players Day”, where fans could go on the field, and greet and shake hands with the Phillies’ players. The temp at the airport was 104°, and the field surface was 140°. 10 minutes on the field, and the heat soaked through your shoes and made standing painful.

The outfield players must have had Dr. Scholl’s insulating pads in their shoes.

Someone’s going to have to really soak his feet when he gets home!

Fake grass of any kind is basically a petroleum based plastic laid out on a concrete slab. MLB and the NFL should move back to real grass wherever possible for many reasons.

Did that once. Never did it again…..

Lots of fake lawns in New Mexico.

Then he gets to a real lawn and ouch, stepped on a bee.

Reminds me of hot asphalt, after swimming.

Beach sand can be super hot too.

Even at the tender age of whatever the heck I am, it is not uncommon to find barefoot prints in the snow, around my house. As for Spring through Fall, I don’t go very far, but, I’m inclined to be barefoot outside, on the concrete driveway. I didn’t say my mother raised any geniuses!

Don’t go on the sand.

I remember walking home from the pool, barefooted. I don’t know why but we didn’t have any shoes but either way, it was a LONG, HOT walk.
