    Asking is subjective, not scientific. If the subject were deaf, but the Wiz didn’t KNOW he was deaf, AND the Wiz were to say “If you can experience pain, please say so.” The Wiz would get no response and understandably take it as a “no,” which would clearly have been wrong. Research can be risky, particularly if the researcher is one bulb short of a chandelier.
