Why ‘Cash,’ though?

Wayyyyyyy back, I’d calculated that a single panel of ‘In Security’ — if devoted entirely to text, bottom-to-top — could contain about 17 lines.

Only now did i figure out, it’s probably Hubb sending it. I feel like face palming…

If it’s from Hubbs, you’d think he could have at least given her an explanation… He’s being kind of an absentee father right now, and the fat stacks of cash don’t really address that. Of course there’s also the question of why he’s physically mailing them cash in the first place…

Definitely Hubbs sending it, only he would be clueless enough to send cash through the mail. Well it got to Ellie at least, plus writing a check would end the mystery too fast.

I’m now wondering if Hubbs got an “under the table” deal from the NFU? It would explain why he’s only got cash, this might not end well for him.

It’s dangerous to send cash through the mail. Money should be sent by a cheque. That way, you know where the money is coming from.

That’s a lot of money coming from one small, thin envelope. Whomever is sending the cash has mastered hammer-space.
