I feel your pain, Mr. Goodwyn. I’m a Cubs fans. It has been said it’s better to get rid of a player a year before his/her inevitable decline rather than a year after. Cold but that’s the way teams operate now.

I thought I heard that one of the Nationals games was postponed due to (what else?) too many players testing positive 4 (u guessed it!) COVID?

Oh, I guess you’ve never heard about the practice where teams going nowhere trade high-priced players—especially those becoming free agents at the end of the year—to contending teams before the trade deadline?
