Michael: Here ya go... come on - take it... that's right! Elly: Michael, I have told you many times not to feed the dog under the table! ... what's she eating? Michael: Broccoli. Elly: Broccoli? Here, girl... nice Lizzie.
I used to be able to get the kids I baby sat to eat broccoli by pretending we were giants and they were little trees to be felled. We’d yell “TIMBER” at the top of our lungs and then stuff them in our mouths laughing. It worked!
Oh my BALD, brussel sprouts are great lightly cooked, chilled and marinated in dill and vinegar!
And Macushlalondra, mushrooms are very GOOD for vitamins, health, etc. Of course, maybe you are young enough you don’t have to worry about that yet! LOL
mmmm, brussels sprouts are great the way we ate them in Britain: cut them in half. Heat a knob of sweet butter and a clove or two of crushed garlic till almost caramelized. Then sautee the sprouts till cooked as you like, add a little bit of sea salt and fresh lemon juice in the pan before serving, yummmmm…
I love brussel sprouts the same way as broccoli, with butter and salt. As for mushrooms they’re disgusting. Look at the color, the texture. Do they really contribute anything? Nooooo. Gross!

I loved broccoli when I was a kid, still do! The only thing I wouldn’t eat was black olives (and I still won’t).

Never had broccoli as a kid. Later( and very good ) discovery. Black olives-yes, green olives-no.

The longer you cook broccoli, the worse it tastes. Raw has almost no taste. We like liver too. Guess we are weird?

We all will always be picky over the foods that we like and dislike to eat. Of course we all do! :-]

I love broccoli with salt and butter. What I won’t eat is mushrooms, fungus isn’t fit for human consumption.
