The pandemic is an awful thing, no argument; but as an introvert, I can’t say I haven’t taken full advantage of social distancing and the quarantine

I love wearing my mask…I don’t have to put on make-up. With sun glasses I’m incognito, I can avoid people I sorta know, I don’t have to worry how I “look”.

Masks are a thing I kind of hope we keep post-pandemic. They seem to have a number of advantages.

Growing up in Illinois, masks were a normal part of your clothing 3-4 months of the year.

I am amazed at how many masked friends I recognize just from the top of their mask to the top of their head.

Well, finally, an actual use for a mask… since 47 validated studies show that masks are of no practical value in preventing the spread of any virus. Further, 32 of those studies enumerate detrimental effects on the health of persistent mask wearers.

there was a guy who recognized me at the grocery store. for the life of me i couldnt recall who he was while we were talking; his voice was muffled by the mask, that threw me off too. embarrassed i finally asked him who he was. he laughed and i realized i i didnt recognize him because he wasnt wearing his sunglasses and ball cap that he always wore when we saw eachother at our Metro Park.

One problem though, my smart phone’s “Face ID” didn’t recognize me while I was wearing a mask and I had to use the password to unlock it. I really don’t mind it.
