I recently watch Simon Peg’s movie “Absolutely Anything”. This reminds me of the scene with the dog about chapter three of his book.

Hire the famous One Thousand Monkeys to write it.

He must have scarfed down his lunch again. Probably was eating “War and Peas”.

Novel concept.

I’m sure I have a novel inside me.

Judging by my waistline, probably a whole library.

It’s a real stinker.

A glass of prune juice and it will come right out

That sounds like something my editor would say!

I think he meant navel.

It might be a gut buster best seller.

I had a big novel inside me. I got it out, in two volumes. That was a decade ago, and hardly anyone noticed (though the ones who have read the story have really enjoyed it).
